Legalize it but force them to sign a wavier on all future goverment funded medical care of any sort. Why should the goverment pay for people who've fried their brains on pot?

Yeah, keep them out of public places, including the streets, and keep the same stigma attached to it.

Along with open container laws, we'll have open bowl and open baggie laws.

They pay for cigarette smokers, they don't have to sign a waiver... what little health care the government does provide.

If Pot was legalized, they would tax it so bad that nobody would be able to afford it. Look at the way Cigarettes are taxed now. In NY-NY smokers can hardly afford to buy them. A couple months ago that city put a extra surcharge (like 2 bucks a pack) on smokes. The next month the city saw a dramatic drop in the packs sold. Most people say great, but I bet the city is saying ****! The city needs those taxes for everyday functions (like blowing money on hookers and drugs), and they priced themselves right out of the market. Idiots. I think that imposing one mans value system on another's is wrong. If people want to get keyed on pot then they should have the freedom to do so. If we are all so great then why do we allow the consumption of alcohol?

first of all I'm giving my opinion not Canada's (I dont even know why it was brought into this topic anyway). I'd say leave pot to cancer patient or people who dont car about their minds, there's no point in legalizing it for all. go to your local drug dealer, grow it in yr home and smoke it where you cant get caught. thats all i have to say. they should legalize prostitution way b4 legalizing pot.
