if ur gonna be welding aluminum and exhaust piping (SS or aluminized) i'd say go with a tig (very high quality weld). Problem is that it's really hard to use. I'm gonna take a welding class; I advise you do the same.

With 110V you are limited to a 110v MIG, and then you are limited since they require a DEDICATED 20AMP circut.
My recommendation is to take a welding class at your local tech/community college and see what you are capable of. In your shoes I would recommend you learn to gas weld. Go to www.tinmantech.com and READ!!!!! |
