No, this is quite clearly a rant, as "thought" would necessitate some ability to grasp an opposing viewpoint. I agree that in a perfect world, a collection of identical motorists with identical perspectives and habits and cars could utilize your "tools of tramsportation" in a slightly more efficient manner.
However, this does not describe the reality. There are conservatives and liberals, men and women, tourists and commuters, street racers and lollygaggers. There are people driving cars that can accelerate quickly and there are people driving 20-year old diesel Rabbits.
I am amused by your efforts to discredit me. I do not own an Audi, a Corvette, and a beater Turbo II so that I can ease into interstate traffic at 35 mph. I can assure you that I do not identify with bad drivers, but as a mature human being, I can acknowledge their existence and cut them an iota of slack.

It's an antique. '78 L-82. Very stock, pretty, but scary handling next to the RX-7.

Keep talking. It's for sale.
Well, sort of. It's not like we're desperate for the money or anything, but since the little boy came along, we never drive it.
And before someone points it out, the nose and tail plastic was replaced with the wrong year before the p.o. painted it, so it doesn't look exactly like a '78, but it's got the original motor and all. 52k miles.
