My son (2 months old) has an upper respiratoy infection, last wednesday night he started coughing/puking up clear mucus, and the third time, it got stuck and he couldn't breathe i nearly lost it, my g-friend did lose it, thank god i am trained in first responder....well he weezes still but mostly he's ok, he pukes up snot/phlegm still, but nothing serious till a few mins ago, he started choking on it and we couldn't get him to breathe for like 35 seconds, he was turning red...has anyone experienced this!? I was terrified, anything we can do to help keep this from happening? The doctor just told us to give him Amoxicillin (he also has a mild ear infection). I'm afraid one of these times we're not gonna be able to get him to breathe again, and i can not think of losing my little one...

My little brother has asthma so bad in the winter he would have severe attacks and turn blue on the way to the hospital.

He did this from 8 months old until 18 months old then we moved from New York to Florida. It was really scary. I was 15 years old at the time and I remember the terror my family would go through with this.

Jesus thats horrible. Almost seems like he should be in the hospital unders survalience till he gets better. That would be way to stressfull to have to worry about. Hope he gets better quick.

Man, I couldn't imagine. We got lucky with our son, he didn't even get a cold until around a year old. Just have a good bulb syringe or other syringe handy. You'd be surprised to find out how resilient babies can be, so I'm sure he'll make it through it fine.
