Dysfnctnl85- If you walked up to me and said "Hey man, can I take that thing for a ride?" I'd probably brush you off also. I think it's just the choice of words you said that gave him a bad first impression or maybe not. I like it when people come up to me and say "that thing isn't NA is it" Of course it's different with a FB than it is with a FD.

The admin of a local car website/forum owns a red 93 FD. He seems to be pretty nice.
Of course the ******* on the forums there bashing rotary motors and bragging his v8 swap which doesnt run and is selling it is different.

I must say...every Tri-State rotary owner I have met up with has been totally cool. Whether it be 1st gen, FC, FD, etc...have never encountered anyone unpleasant thus far
Down at VT also...Gordon, Cody, Kyle...all very cool FD owners. One day I was driving thru the shady backroads of Southwest Virginia...and spotted an 89T2 in this redneck driveway. So I stopped and pulled up...thinking: "well, he could be selling it...I hope I don't get shot!" Much to my surprise he came out and was like "Heyyyyyyyyyyyy buddy!...whats happening!" And we bullshitted for an hour, lol.
Now when I went to VIR a few years ago...WOW...total difference. I'd say out of 25 FD's most of the owners were over 40...didn't wanna answer questions, talk, no nothing. I left there thinking "wow...what ********...I will NEVER own an FD"
Sad to say that probably disheartened me for ever owning an FD.

when i had my FB all or most the FD guys i met were cool as hell. vosko, jay, khris, amp(some others i might have forgotten), they are the ones who helped me make my mind up about getting one....
when i see a rotary FB, FC, FD, old skool, i acknowledge them by flipping the lights.

I've found that the true enthusiasts who own FDs are really good people to hang around. I've been learning all about suspension set-up from this local guy who kicks everyone's a$$ when autocrossing his 93 VR base. It also helps that he built a TII for the GM $2000 challenge and knew what worked on the FC, as far as bang for buck mods and getting the car to really stick.
