dont you have to pay to get em cleaned and junk too? since they are always in the water and they get some nasty buildup underneath?

No not really, I live in one of the highest fouling areas in the us, this river is ******* nasty, lots of fertalizer from the sugar plantation and freshwater intrusion. We scrape about every 4 months and we try to plan that close to a trip if we are leaving for somewhere. That all depends a lot on your quality of bottom paint. My does get fouled to the point where i can't reach engine rpm, that's usually when i scrape it. It only costs me $75 to have it scraped, but i have a friend do it, so it saves some cash.

for a 44' boat they would charge you $600+ just to haul it out of the water, thats with no blocking.

I have a diver scrape it, in the water. Still takes like two hours. I paid about $1000 last time to haul, pressure wash, block, re-block and launch last year.
