Mechanics gloves are a must!! especially for those "man I have to clean my spark plugs RIGHT NOW!" even thought the engine is still hot as hell!

safety goggles!!!!!!

they saved my eyes twice now.

one time... i was cutting something with a dremel... next thing i know something flew at me. A peice of my carbide shaping too broke off and flew into the goggles, bounced off.

that goggles cracked a bit... wow...

the other time was when i was fixing something...

i remember now.

i was helping a friend change his fuel filter. we thought all the pressure in the lines were gone and next thing iknow i get a face full of fuel. thank good ness for safety googles.

Another car to go for parts or tools you don't discover are missing till you've taken your 7 apart.

Also handy for those "weekend" jobs that turn into "2 month" jobs!

plastigauge=piece of ****. no offense to you digisan

Dial bore gauge = real tool, only needed for building motors

stubby 3/8 drive rachet, they are about 3 inches long and its all you need when driving a bolt into aluminum

Input shaft of a broken transmission(For clutch alignment)
Or if those are scarce, get the tool from Mazdatrix.

http://www.mazdatrix.com/toolmisc.htm

about halfway down the page

I find those plastic alignment tools to be hit or miss. I prefer to use an input shaft, that way you know it works! [/quote]
