Stop comparing GT3 to real life scenarios. I don't care how accurate the data on GT3 may be. Using GT3 as a source for quoting, is one of the worse things to ever do. That is as if, I was using Dr. Mario to write a term paper on the use of aspirin on viruses. Geez.
I wasn't trying to prove the existance of life on mars with it.. just backing up a point. There was no reason to go through all that crap to say "Don't trust GT3." Grow up.

Do you hear about Ferrari owners comparing their real life experiences w/ that of Ferrari 355 Challenge, the arcade game? I don't.

If your source of info, is based on a video game,...fine. You have every right to do so. I'll just leave it at that.

Okay he seriously was using GT3 to re-itterate the fact that over in Japan the HP rating is smaller.

At first sight (when GT was new) I was like "These HP numbers are wrong!" but then I found out they were using J-Spec HP numbers.

He didn't use GT3 to defend a point, nor did his post rely on it as a means to stand on. It was mearly "Icing on the cake." So don't sweat it, no?

*But I would understand your concern if he said "Well my Rx7 in GT3 can handle the chicane at 90mph while ____ can't...."....That's a whole different story*

mazdaspeed certified dealer?!?!?

Wasnt aware there was such a thing anymore since the ORIGINAL Mazdaspeed went under a few years ago. Thats why none of the new

MS is in the states and has to be imported from Japan. So whats a Mazdaspeed Certified dealer?

By the way Mazda and Mazdaspeed Japan are saying SO SUCH THING as it being turbo charged, but hey we can dream, and plus you never know.

The RX8 IMHO is nice, depending on color and wheels and a little lowering job, then its really nice, BUT still doesnt take the place of any of the RX7s just my opinion though.
they changed mazdacomp into "mazdaspeed" to sell stuff in the us.

This is flamingly gay

1. The car's motor isnt broken in and you complain about HP. I have seen with my own two eyes, a VERY tightly built (zero tolerance) nissan v6 make 47hp more on the 20th dyno pull versus the first. The motors arent supposed to go above 3k rpm for the first 1k-2k miles right? The seals haven't seated fully. And according to Mazda North America the Renesis was built very "tight" and will take in exess of 2k miles to FULLY break in and begin creating any sort of hp.

2. Chassis dyno's are ******* stupid IMO. They are an inaccurate and non-scientific way to measure a motor's output. It all to easy to lie with one also....be it a 5th gear pull. Or the 400hp 1st gear pull I did with my stock vert, just for a joke. No I don't have a printout

3. This is the new trend with "sporty" cars these days. Like what happened with the new Nissan sentra se-r. The motor was rated at 195hp on the crank, and it was putting down about 140hp on the rollers, pure gay.

4. I drove an rx-8 today, and it was single handedly the best handling stock car i have ever driven. Significantly better balance than even the venerable Z06 corvette. And the 350z is a ******* dog compared to it

5. Just wait until the renesis comes in crate form. as it will for the star mazda pro series cars

enough with this ham-fistedness, shut up and drive the car

this is a wonderful list of personal opinions apex13b.

I drove a 350z automatic that would smoke the 6 speed rx-8 we test drove. Is this useful? not really. you attack dynos, claim the motor will have more power after break-in, and as a result present the idea that the rx-8 is not down on power and is inline with mazda originally claimed. How amusing this is considering mazda has already confessed the car is down on power. But then you go on to say it is a trend now to claim more horsepower than the cars actually put out.

RX-8 vs Z06? hahahahahah

can you please clarify your post and what the point was you were trying to get across? Do you believe the RX-8 was not falsely advertised with more power than it has or was it?

Earlier last week, I drove a VR RX-8 GT, and I left the dealership with the biggest smile on my face and an urge to get back into debt.

The RX-8 is a fantastic car, considerably more exciting to drive than the Infiniti G35 and Lexus IS300. I've driven both of those cars numerous times, and the RX-8 takes the cake.

Thats it! I am going to the dealership this week to test drive one. I will bring my TII and hope I can get a "tire kicker" ride in it. I have no interest in buying one right now but I want to drive one to see this amazing handling.
