OK as you may or may not know it has been suggested that we start an RX-7 registry. I think this is a great idea. I need to know what kind of fields or info you would like to have available in the registry. IE, VIN #, Picture, Upgrades, whatever you can think of. Give me some ideas and we can get the ball rolling

Thanks in advance!!!!

Simple is better as far as allowing for more than one word entries in the registry. Rather than allowing a list of mods (which cab be covered on the "member's redes" page for each member, linked to their registry entry), maybe a yes or no under a heading called "stock? Y/N"

Here's my thoughts:

Name (1st & last)

Year

Model (GXL, GS, R2, PEP, etc.)

Color

StocK? Y/N

VIN #

Build Date (on sticker in drivers door jam)

Current Mileage

Date Info Entered

Original Owner? y/n

State/Provence, Country

Is This Your 1st Rotary Vehicle? y/n

Organized in a database form that is sortable by whichever column you choose.

Sound too tough?

Any other ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Sounds great. Next thing is, what kind of categories do we want on the auctions?

1st gen

2nd gen

3rd gen

Accesories

Then some sub categories under each one of those? It will take some work to get the auctions off the ground, but long term I think the users would like it. Free auctions would be a lot nicer then e-bay, but less exposure at this point in time.

Anyhow, that ones on the list of "things to do".

Memorabelia

Models (die-cast or plastic)

Misc.

Just off the top of my head.

Sounds good, I've got that one on the side burner... still trying to figure out what all I want to do first and when and how!!! But we'll get them up soon. We are really close to the free websites. They won't be under the nopistons.com domain, but we'll still link to them off the member pages section.... should be nice. We're gaining momentum, starting to see some search engine referrals so that's a great sign.

You might look at this site:

There's nothing fancy about it, but it might help with some ideas.
