Rotavirus vaccine urged for all babies

An interesting story. I don't know about the vaccine though. It would have to be in use for years and proven safe before I'd want my kids to have it. I am simply amazed at the number of shots babies get today. On virtually every pediatrician visit from birth to 2 years, my kids have literally been stuck as many as four times per visit.
Until very recently, a compound called thimerosal (sp?), which contains mercury, has been used as a preservative in vaccines and been linked to autism in children. Naturally, the medical community denies that the vaccines cause autism, but we have known that heavy metals, especially mercury, are very bad in young children for how long exactly?
All vaccines carry a risk of death in those to whom they are administered. We are told that statistically, these risks are less than the risk of death from the disease they are purported to prevent. As a parent signing the liability waiver at the pediatrician's office, it is not always easy to trust these statistics.
I am concerned that the primary motivation here is profit for doctors and pharmaceuticals manufacturers, and not the health of children.

Rotavirus...hmm. Is that the sickness that causes one to purchase cheap, immitation wheels?
LMFAO!
That disease is rampant among Honda owners here in the ATL.
