I am greatful of the deman for my work but I cannot handle it.

I have about 3 pm folders full of request that I have turned down.

when I dynoed 240rwhp with my rx8, most of the rx8 forum got pissed at me because I wouldn't give away my secret that easy but yet and still they found a way to call my shop and request for the same mod I did to my rx8 and money wasn't an issue. I turned every singlerx8 job offer down.

Jerry himslef has offered me tons of work from VA. I have turned him down..

I no longer have control over my sitiuation and I have made a thread about it in the past.

Job that is almost done and before jerry is:

1985 toyota corolla sr5 model.

work being done..

pull out original piston motor

modify the corolla factory front end with a tubular subframe.

take 93 FD engine apart.

port and polish FD engine. polish and chrome engine parts

rebuild FD tranny

start to install FD engine in the corolla. custome engine mounts. custom tranny mounts.

install haltech e6x, FABRICATE and install a custom exhaust manifold, down pipe and exhaust.

custom charge pipes and intercooler

custom fit a radiator with fans.

re do battery connection.

find a place to install msd's dis series.

install SS braided lines from the gas tank to the engine with fuel filters and pump.

this car is almost done and has been in my shop 2 months before jerry's car..

jerry's car.

is a 79 rx7 that came with a 13B bridgeport engine running bad.

mods I've done so far..

match port the lower intake manifold.

install msd 6al's

took original N/A tranny off, modified a turbo II tranny and installed it.

custom tranny mount

re work the nitrous kit that was poorly installed in the car.

custom driveshaft to fit the turbo II tranny and 79 rear.

install a better fuel pump and fuel line coming out of the gas tank.

re-work the holley carb.

tune the nitrous kit. install racing wheel studs and weld racing wheels on his 79. like I said 75% of the work is done on jerrys car.

in between this I have tons of engine porting and polishing. pick up the kids from school, deal with parts vendors, deal with customers coming in and ordering parts. mailing porting templates, mailing some other requested engine parts. answering the 30 million phone calls I get a day. If it wasn't for the "army of one" forum member giving me a hand when ever he could, I would be pulling my hair..

.... Jerry you think I'm proud of the fact that it has taking me 5 years and I'm still waiting to finish my drag racing rx3 project? 5 years because I always find a way to put the customer first and put my rx3 to the side..

this is my situation.. all of this will be over soon, once the shop is finally sold and I move on...

hmmmm you're from virginia... so a certain shop comes to mind...

why dont you give them another law suit

Martin, I assume that is where talking about PFS?

First off this guy has a 79 rx7 and PFS only works on Turbo RX7's specfically 3rd gens. Secondly Hampton Virginia is a long *** way from Fredrick Md(PFS locale), I guess Itos shop is a bit further even still Besides PFS is a professional shop. Cars don't sit there unless they are waiting on parts.

I hope this works out for you Jerry, I would have just taken the car somewhere else after the first month of it not getting done.

While I certainly understand all the pressure of running a buisiness being a buisiness owner myself. It sounds like you bit off more than you can chew with the enormity of these jobs. Maybe you would have done better to keep the work you do simple and not try to make a living off building completely custom cars. Just an observation. The other point I want to make is that you should not let YOUR problems become your customers problems. All the phone calls and distractions are part of the job and should not be used as an excuse to not getting the work done. I do hope that it works out for you guys. Good luck and keep your chin up.

no excuses, just showing my side of the story. showing that is not easy being me right now.

I stay away from custom jobs. for some reason customers don't want to take no for an answer. I must have told the owner of the corolla NO about 12 times. a year later he walks in the shop telling me, hey listen I have waited a year just for you to take this job..

not a problem for me. jerry's car will be finished with the last 6 cars that are currently in my shop. (6 months ago I had 28 cars and 13 engines on the floor to build) down to 6 cars 3 engines and I have cleaned up and ready to turn the keys in to the new owner..

I didn't want to name the shop, but I guess Judge Ito already claimed his stake in the post.

People here were one sided to me for a moment, not that they here is what Ito, people are saying I am lucky. Still doesn't justify everything.

That is why I took my car up there to get the best tuner that knows his crap on Rotaries because I am tired of shadetrees that claim a lot but don't produce a lot.

Still though, everybody has to understand my frustration after all. Put yourself in my shoes for a moment and think about it.

I guess both of us are frustrated but there should still be some form of respect to both parties. I know I have been respectful, but still you can only take so much.

Ito will finish my car soon. We will see how it goes.
