haha fd3boost = teh funny

"i work 8 hours a day!!"

omg, thats amazing. I work 65 hours a week, 6 days a week, turning wrenches, and none of the oil change ****, i do engine diagnostics along with the regular maintenance work. So thats pure manual labor.

haha 8 horus a day, and he makes it seem so hard on him...wah wah wah.

As for Ito, i can see where hes coming from, i go by his shop regularly and i remember when i couldnt even figure out how he managed to fit all those cars in his parking lot. It was crazy. Plus you factor in the constant horrible weather weve been gettign im sure its not a 10 minute job digging the cars out of his lot especially since he has to push them into the shop. I mean 14 months is a long time, but im sure ito didnt tell him hed have it finished in a month or something.

Kevin,

I know mechanics work long hours, just like mid level managers, store managers, etc. There are people that make six digits a year working only 8 hours a day just because they push some buttons, install hubs and run fiber optic cable. These trades are what we chose. We chose our destiny.

FD3Boost was voicing his opinions and his standards of conducting business. I respect that just like I respect your profession.

Actually, Ito told me a specific date, but I am not getting into that. I don't want to see this thread get way out of the intended purpose, right or wrong.

That is why I didn't want to name the shop in the first place. I admire Ito for writing here. He didn't have to.

I am noticing how the predilection here seems to constantly change.

bottom line in this story is....

ito is just making sure everyone is happy in the long run.....

jerry, again, i feel your pain and i understand where you are coming from. and i was in your position about a month after you brought your car to ito, and i knew damn well that if i brought my car to ito that it will not get out of there for at least a year which sucks, cuz now that look back, if i brought my car to him, i would be better off.....

well i'd be pretty pissed off that my car would be in his shop for so long.... but i know for a fact that i would have been better off. (yeah i think ito knows that too)

if ito starts rushing all this work, then he takes a gamble at the quality that he's well known for.
