Just curious why this is the only forum you have talked about this on?

Have you seen posts on other forums like this? Even if they are left up, it's a bunch of people attacking the guy for being an idiot or dragging a good shops name through the mud.

Seeing as it's in gen d, it's fine, but the post calling him an idiot was a bit much, he obvioulsy knows he fucked up, you can get that accross a little nicer like seth did....

I haven't mentioned this before even thought several people know about it because I wanted to give the person a chance, from one gentleman to another. I am not a 19yr old punk either. I felt at the time it was going to be OK. Get my car fixed by one of the best rotary guys known.

Seems that I can't even trust that.

I haven't used other forums yet, because the mechanic frequents this one the most.

All I want is my car fixed.

Today was very hard to even put this up, but I felt an obligation to do it.

I can't give out the name yet. Once the smoke clears, then I will do. My car is still at that shop.

OK, screw ups aside, let's look at the situation and see if there's any way to reach a resolution.

Facts are facts, you paid him, it's a long distance and yer car has been sitting a long time. Lawyer's are never pretty and rairly do anyone any favors.

Not knowing the shop, I would ask is there any possibility you could get your money back and go somewhere else? If no, then I guess you need to decide if you want to wait it out and constantly check up on it, try to get some progress going, take your car elsewhere and deal with trying to get your money back later or hire a lawyer, spend near as much as you paid in lawyer fees and maybe get your money back (hopefully break even) and take the car elsewhere.

I'd opt for trying to get your money back or nailing down a date the car will be finished and doing everything to hold them to that date.

Let's see how it goes. Supposedly the car is halfway done, but I can't verify it. I will call him and see. Done or not done I will be picking it up. I just want him to see that the internet is a beautiful thing and the rotary community is small. Don't screw over people because it will bite you in the ****!!!!

Thanks for the support out there. Sometimes you have to vent. I certainly did. I am too close to retiring from the Army and this shouldn't be an issue right now if he would done it like he stated he would do.

To the mechanic fixing my car!!!!!!!!!

Don't ruin your rep. Do what you are supposed to do and make me happy!
