What do you guys say to people that just hear you say "I'm into rotories or I have a 7" and then reply.

"those cars are a peice of ****" or "Rotories suck" and stuff like that.

What do you guys come back with? Just Curious.

Yeah thats a very irritating thing to hear. The only people i've ever heard say that are complete idiots to begin with and aren't really that knowledgeable about cars anyways. I simple state the facts of my car, which are its lasted a couple years fully modded, 20k+ miles on high boost and 400+ hp.....and its a whole hell of a lot faster than your POS car assface.....the assface part is optional.

Depending on the situation, I usually will briefly tell them a few interesting details about the rotary and if possible hand them a rotor to hold and look at...

Usually the next time I encounter the person they're completely turned around on the rotary front because after getting a bit interested they went on to read more about it on the web or something and fell in love...

I try to only interact with relatively bright people in person though, so this probably won't work with general public... I'm sure there are many people out there that will refuse to even consider learning anything aboout it just on the grounds that it's for an import... but those people should probably be food anyways so who cares what they think

I am convinced that any geek you show the internals of a rotary engine to will fall in love with it and want one, even geeks who previously found cars relatively uninteresting.

One thing most these people don't realize anyways is that ANY car you modifiy "heavily" loses a great deal of reliablity. So if i can take my rotary and have it last 2 years running strong with zero problems, well that speaks for itself.

I think your right.

The people I deal with are those people that should be food.

you know, the kinda people you just wanna have a sack of rusty bolts handy to swing at.
