haha sucks, last ticket i got was just a violation of the general law, that they have in oregon, i got off it by proving the mods to my car enabled it to handle those speeds safely....

what do you mean a violation of general law? like doing a 55mph speed limit around a tight turn that had a small yellow sign saying to take it at 35mph?

how did you prove your mods enabled your car to handle (what were you doing) those speeds safely.

oregon has a general law that reads somethin to the extent of, do not exceed the limits of the conditions... and they take eveything into consideration, your reaction times, vehicles abilitys, and road conditions, i was doing 90 in a 55 it was clear out, no rain, no traffic and a straight stretch, i simply informed the judge that everything from my tires, brakes, suspension, to extra saftey gear in the car was eaily capable of these speeds, she didnt ask any questions, this only applies on highways... out of city limits.

That's pretty sweet...I'd never guess something like that would work. In anycase my reckless charge was dropped to speeding...a big *** fine but nothing compared to 2k for a lawyer. Plus if I had to drive up there again to fight the ticket I probably would have been pulled over again...those roads are just too much fun coming from the pothole-ridden crap they call "roads" in boston...

Yes get an attorney...they help alot....I got hit for 100+ in a 50 a few years ago.. it was an 8 point ticket and huge bump in insurance..well lawyer got it down to 65 in a 50..and 1 point, the radar guns they got us with were out of calibration... (no was not in a car on my old bike) In the long run the lawyer cost less than what taking the ticket would have.
