In all my stupid spyware adventures, I want to wipe out IE and simply reinstall it.

I went to "Add/Remove Hardware" and there's a "Reinstall" or something, for IE but I still had the same history, favorites, plug-ins etc.

I want to wipe it out and get a fresh start. Should I delete everything IE related? How do I download/get back IE 6 when I finish?

Thanks for any help..

Um..... just take your HDD out and swipe a magnet in a circle, then pull straight away 24". this should do a 'clean removal'.

Just ditch IE all together. Use Opera or FireFox.

You can't really uninstall IE because it's fundamentally attached to the Windows Explorer.

I downloaded the trial version of Opera (has banners) after I heard about M$ paying them off and stuff.

I like it a lot. I like Apple's Safari too...I'll have to try FireFox.

Got screenshots of how these browsers "look"?

I am using Mozilla now, it has an "updated" skin look which is nice, but the logo (WTF? A dinosaur?) is very lame.

Plus now I have to reinstall all sorts of plug ins (do I just say I am using Netscape or something?)

Blah, soon enough I'll be buying more Ram, a nice Sound card, and a new Video Card for HL2 and I'll probably re-format my PC then.
