radiator paint is meant to go on thinner than normal paint. the idea being you don't want some giant thick 1/2" layer of paint on there insulating the cooler...

regular paint seems to work fine, but you do want a thin coat

thought there might have been properties within the paint that assists in the dissapation of heat..

so i guess it just boils down to adhesion.. better coverage and adhesion equates to less required passes for a thinner layer..

i dont know what he did to it, but his car is crazy clean and detailed, close to 500hp Volkswagen, he goes to whatever it takes to do something, but I do know he did NOT use the eastwood thing so maybe yours will hold up better, but not many radiators that eastwood targets will see the duty your IC is going to see

use rubberized undercoating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not only will it not chip, it will be insulated from the outside cold air. It's a win-win situation!
