that FD3s-xxxxx is the vin number in japan. in the us the vin number is like 94touring said. the only rx7 that has a similar vin to a JDM FD is a 1979 USDM rx7..........so i guess you could say its a 1979 rx7 ?

The only problem you run into with the cost is trying to get it financed or something, the bank will want an appraisel. The insurance company also would want to see the car in person or have pics to insure it for the value you paid.

hmmm. so this could be done. good thing J9FD3S is a smart guy. well you could get classic insurance on it ..... i think most of these cars would be used for racing as they are RHD. this is some great info here!

I'm not sure the emisions figures would do any good, not at this point anyways.
