Ok ..did a second gen GTU come with turbo?



Whats the diffrent on the GTU package and the base modle for the same year,....



And what years were GTUs made?

 

I don't really know much about Fc's but I thought that the TurboII was the only Fc that was turbo charged from the factory.

 

GTU = Grand Touring not Turbo Charged. The Turbo II is the only Turbo 2nd gen stock. there was a post similar to this but i cant find the link sorry. (it had more info) let me look a little longer

for 89 and 90 the gtu is the base model. the gxl is the fully loaded na, and then the turbo is, well the turbo. the gtus is the no sunroof, t2 wheels, 4.30 rear na.

in 91 all they had were the coupe, vert and the turbo.

the coupe had the same options as the 89-90 cars but they didn't call them anything different.

in 88, the gtu is like the 89-90 gtus, turbo seats, brakes, no sunroof etc.

the rest of 86-87, is the base, sport (think gtu...), the gxl, and the turbo

in 88 they decided to call the base model the se

gawd....Im sorry I mad this post..now we all are confused as hell..



It seems the GTU isnt to good in performance..and not really a rare item..

 

91 GTU's are rare
