ordered tranny cooler and hose kit to install it and 160 degree thermostat. gonna pickup a lower radiator hose

what about the upper hose?



hose kit is like 2 feet of hose and some clamps, lol.

You can get fancy and put a 180 or a 196 in for the winter, then

swap in a 160 for the summer. And in the summer, I would by-pass the heater core so you dont have the typical constant heat blowing on your feet.

You can either connect the heater hoses together, or buy or make a valve to stop flow to the heater core, chevys blower fan ALWAYS runs on a low speed, so with coolant coming in the heater core, you will have some hot feet in the summer!

you can actually get thermostat housings that have no gasket, just a o-ring,

goes to show you how many people swap out thermostats according to the weather.
