[quote name='Rotarydragon' date='May 17 2005, 12:40 PM']controller looks like a huge gay love toy.
Xbox 360 supports 1080p as well. Whoopie.
We shall see, MS allready has all the major developers on their side, a huge jump on Sony, a system that's a billion times easier to develop for among other things. Plus live is here, works now and works flawlessly.
It's far, far from over.

The Xbox 360 supports 1080i.
The PS3 supports Blu-Ray, allowing an amazing amount of storage for games. The Xbox 360 comes with a standard DVD drive. This alone should spell the end for M$.

If the thing costs over 1k the normal consumer will NOT buy one. I would eventually when the system went through its first shortage of supply.
It will most likely be the cost of a computer PC or laptop with those same specs. Sony has invested ALOT of time and money in this, so they need the sales to be right, and the profit to be great.
Sony will never die, nor will MS. Nintendo I don't see lasting very long in the console wars if they keep the same **** up. Stop gearing towards kids, and release what everyone else is releasing, PLUS sell all your games geared toward kids. But nintendo will always kick *** in the handheld wars. Sony PSP is good, but costs too much, games are more, and it is brand new.

Nintendo is already trying to get rid of their "kid" image with exclusives like RE:4. The new Metroids already put a "darker/mature" spin on the already serious franchise. The next Zelda game will get the same treatment. Mario? No, you can't "mature" up a fat little plumber who jumps around, but that's fine, they need to keep some innocence in their games since it gives a hint of nostalgia to people who remember the old ones. Games like Metroid and Zelda though can handle the transition. Sexy female bounty hunter in outer space who shoots a ton of things? It was pretty much "dark" from the start. Boy who sets out to save a princess and swings a sword and has many more abilities including a bow, boomerang, and bombs? Also a pretty easy transition. (Though the elf-boy thing can make it harder.) So, I agree than Nintendo needs to edge the games up, but only to games that need it. I don't want to see Kirby do a drive-by in my lifetime.
