Let me start by saying I think the Moderating team does an excellent job.



Now, let me say that I don't think locking "controversial" threads is a good thing. We are bound to have differences of opinion. Sharp differences in some areas, but the only way to resolve these differences is with honest and open discussion. We've had some fairly blistering threads in the past, and I think its a good thing.

 

It's not as bad as locking a thread cause a mod thinks a word is annoying.

 

We try to lock threads that are pointless, like arguments that will never be settled or are just turning into name calling pissing contests.

 

Can someone lock this thread please?
