It's a little known fact that automatic coin-counting toll machines will count pennies, even though it says "No pennies". If you throw a handful into the machine, it will count them and give you a green light. Eventually.



Well, it used to work. Haven't tried it lately. Not since I got that newfangled Fastoll thingie.

Some special interest, somewhere, has enough political clout to keep the penny alive despite overwhelming evidence that it is useless.

having tried to USE some, i agree 100%, anything less than the quarter is kind of silly
