there could be a button somewhere to select forward or backward, then if you select forward right is up shift and left is downshift. same thing as the tiptronic

maybe it is voice activated shifts. Voice activated **** seems to be in demand on exspensive cars.

Or maybe it shifts telapathically. Thats what I would tell people if my car was an automatic

ok back to what i said before, is that even a gear shifter? it goes left to right how does that shift gears?

i think it uses the paddle buttons on the steering wheel.

kevin.
its only coming as a 6 speed with clutch, the production shifter is in the

same place but it looks like a normal shifter.

personally i love the way it looks, im actually not a big fan of how the porsche's look in general, atleast the older ones. anyways this car drives good, in need for speed 3: hot pursuit!! hah jp.

but damn $400k fudge that! i would prefer to get a skyline and mod it that fast for a lot less. or any car really. how much money would it cost to get a rx-7 or skyline or supra to get that kind of performance?? well driveablity would be an issue too i guess, but thats besides the fact.

Perfect location!, minimal hand travel = faster shift. Sit in an indy car, GTP car, or modern sports prototype (see my sig) and the shifter location is exacty the same, there is no need to move your hand more than an inch from the wheel. Paddle shifted electro-hydraulic gearboxes are still unreliable for street/track cars, just ask any Ferrari F355 F1 owner about how much a new gearbox costs...and how long it lasts (15-20k miles),

That was probably a sequential-style gear shifter. Like tiptronic,

but with a clutch.
