hmm interesting. its not uncomfortable to have a dash mounted shifter (79-80rx7, alfa spiders), although that one looks odd

going back to the arguement over shifter position/location, anyone notice the shifter position of Porsche's new $400,000 Carrera GT?

bah, it's good cause that car is gonna be used for rallying obviously...

is that even the shift ****? it goes left to right only... i think it's a paddleshift as there are buttons on the steering wheel... prolly wrong tho.

anyone see the size of the gas pedal? DAMN!

actually the McLaren beats it in 0-60 and is behind it in the quarter mile by about .7 seconds, after that the McLaren would eat the porsche alive especially since it's top speed is 242 mph and the porsche's is only 205, but it would be a good race though, i wonder how close they would be on a road course i think the McLaren would win.

porsche could up that top speed if they wanted to. also this is a 10 cylinder car compared to the mclaren 12. that helps a lot in top speed.

only the Saleen S7 has beat the mclaren in 0-60.

best thing ever is when a mustang fan tells me how the slaeen s7 is a mustang....the only thing left on that car that is related to the mustang is the window sill lining thing, tons of performance from that piece oh yea.

ok back to what i said before, is that even a gear shifter? it goes left to right how does that shift gears?

i think it uses the paddle buttons on the steering wheel.
