My 2 cents...

I think that it is nearly impossible to get an unbiased opinion about politics. Who said what and where he said it about what person and event, the vast majority of that stuff is contorted based on what party is talking about it.

I personaly think that to get the clearest, most neutral view is to go talk to somebody from another country. Because that person wont be affected by the internal affairs of our country.

There have been worse things that have happened in history than 9/11. To say we have lost sight of past events is to think that we arent doing anything at all. my take is that we havent done the right things. Yea we went after Afganistan but we didnt get Bin Ladin. So we went into Iraq so Bush can say well I didnt get bin ladin but I got Sudam.
unbiased opinion????? theres no such thing bud.

and we didn't go after just bin laden, we went after terrorism in general, anyone that posed a threat to the US.

Putting the Bush and democrat thing aside, no one can't say that Saddam didn't have anything to do with 9/11 because he could've, maybe not directly but financially which is still just as bad. Saddam was another Bin Laden, waiting to explode if we didn't do anything about it. Inspectors went he said **** Off, they went again, he said **** Off, it was a ******* game to him. I was active duty in the Marine Corps in those years and I was in the first Gulf war, you have to hear how MOST ( i said most not all ) those people bad mouthed us, even the Kuwaities when I went back a year and a half after we helped them. Hey, nobody gives a crap about us, even if we help them, becasue its gotten to the point that it's what they expect from us.
No offense dude, but I think yer a bit confused on the Iraq issue, the reason the UN did not back Bush is because he was in fact letting the weapons inspectors view the facility's and was living up to the agreement signed with the UN after the last "Military Action".

Bush's justification for entering Iraq had nothing to do with weapons inspection, he got some information from British intelligence that sadam had "weapons of mass distruction" and in we went. On a side note we never found the afformentioned weapons. I'm not arguing whether Iraq was right or wrong, just pointing out a few "misconceptions" you seem to have.

Certainly the Iraq issue is more complex then what we are outlining here and our troops are there fighting the good fight, I support them for that, we're in Iraq and the reason for being there is not all that important to me at this point. I want to get the job done and get our troops home safe and sound.

i am not really sure how anyone has "forgotten about 9/11" u haven't really explained that in your post. Are you saying a vote for Kerry is a vote for terrorism?

How many times have we (the US and UN) gone into the middle east and other countries to take out the tyrant but have put in another one, or threw together a government just to put somebody in charge and have it fall apart and lead to a bloody revolution. The strongest longest lasting countrys forge their own governments without outside help. Britian, France, US, Spain etc.

I think they have every right to hate Americans seeing as how we have messed up their countrys in the past.

Yeah i wanna get our troops home too and u know, stop paying an effload to have troops in iraq Maybe then we wouldn't have to worry about tax cuts and this or that because our deficeit wouldn't be so high.

Im just saying that no one can say that they didnt have them all the times that he rejected the inspectors. There were numerous satelite photos of truck leaving some of the storage plants right before they were being inspected. Some of us are Dems, some of us are Reps, but we can never knoll ALL that is going on, I do agree on that.

Well, you also have to consider this, saddam's scientists couldve been faking that they were developing weapons of mass destruction. so the word was out he had em but in reality he didnt.

There was only one reason they were going into iraq in the first place, and after the first couple of months of not finding anything, of course, they had to start fabbing something up.

Anyone would cover their *** in a situation like that wouldnt they?
