For all of you people that don't like Gates/Allen/Microsoft or whatever - what are you doing about it?

Let's hope the government rips his crapass company into little pieces.
You can't buy a Mac? I know some people can get them, because we ship a whole lot of them through UPS...not as many as Compaqs, Dells, and Gateways, though. I guess people really do like crap.
You know, if Felix Wankel hadn't developed his rotary engine, somebody else surely would have, and it would be better. Give me a ******* break, and give credit where credit is due.
actually...
if a company other than mazda was building these motors we have in our rx-7's they just might be better.
but mazda is not to blame, mazda is not a monopoly, mazda deserves credit for sticking with it where the rest deserted the technology. There is a large difference.
I've said before on this forum that there often are occasions where I wish my motor were engineered and developed by a company like porsche or lotus.
gone would be the iron side/intermediate housings, 9 lbs rotors, just for example.... maybe some day?
Ahhh...monopoly, catch word of the conspiracy theorist. You know, a monopoly is "Exclusive control by one group of the means of producing or selling a commodity or service". What is the commodity or service that Microsoft has exclusive control of? You have all of those machines that have nothing to do with MS products, but somehow they have exclusive control? I just don't see it.
pengaru: If more people were like you, this wouldn't be much of a discussion. You are part of that small percent that isn't a hypocrite. Most others that gripe about it are doing so while using a product they hate.
The only way to really support something is with money. Moral support doesn't do programmers with mortgages a damn bit of good.
Personally, I don't care either way. Microsoft has yet to make dime one off of me. But I don't knock the company either. Hell, as a matter of fact, it's my job to fix computers. If Windows was a nice, smooth operating OS then I'd be out of a job. But after work I'm a car guy and the last thing on my mind is computers. Dealing with computers just pays the bills, it's not who I am.

If rotaries have just had 1% of the development time/money/energy that the pison engine has enjoyed all these years, they'd be sweet as hell. Many other companies have toyed with rotaries. Some went into production, other were just concepts. But none of them had the intestinal fortitude to stick with them like Mazda has.
If I had a nickel for every time I've seen the "what ifs" of rotary development discussed, I would develop them myself. I guess it's just too difficult to either be happy with what is available or make your own stuff...hence most of those hypocrites mentioned earlier who use WinXP and IE 6.0 to whine about MS products on discussion forums.
