People Crack Me Up!

This was my reply to someone saying that NSXs are overrated... Which to SOME extent they are:
Hah! FD's are overrated! This forum is FLOODED with threads about boost problems, blown motors, leaks, overheating, broke **** etc...
But for some reason, there are always a hundred newbies in the kill section making claims of ZO6, Porsche, SS, NSX and let's not forget "MUSTANG" kills... When in actuality they aren't really a competitor these days...
Let's face it... That new HKS BOV won't make you faster!!

Then some asswipe tries to "school" me:
jdhuegel1 (9BASE3),
You a quite the misinformed one about rotary engines. 2 mods should be done to FDs & they run damn near forever:
1) Don't EVER mod intake and/or exhaust (ie more boost) without an ECU upgrade or you will blow the motor (ie starve it of fuel - called "DETONATION")
2) replace the stock turbo hoses with silicon (avoids dry rotting due to heat under the hood)
Last pint, the owner should change the oil every 1500 miles (gas mixes with oil breaks it down faster than a piston motor).
If you don't KNOW rotaries and read little posts on some forum from others who actually may not be rotary "experts" either, you will remain ignorant. Rotaries are an entirely different powerplant & require IN DEPTH KNOWLEDGE to care for them. If you are wise, the motors will last a LONG time (my '88 Turbo has over 130k miles & is as quick as a C5). If you do not bother to learn about the powerplant, you run the risk of damaging the powerplant. Rotaries are not pushrod V-8s & can't be treated as such. Its real simple.

I fought back...
I've been here plenty long and know what I'm doing. None of what I said was trying to prove knowledge competency or anything of the such.
You might want to cross-reference some of the "points" you gave me with some archived information.
Never did I say ANYTHING about the rotary engine not lasting or going long miles. I merely replied to a statement about NSXs being overrated. I argued that the FD is overrated. So many people buy them and are under the impression that they now own the baddest production car ever sold. It simply isn't fact.
You don't need to rattle off the mod list to me, or tell me that I'm ignorant. But I appreciate you taking the time to pass on such useless information about detonation and modding the intake and exhaust.. Because that's really what I was getting at stating the number of "blown motor" threads I see...
If you look closely AND USE THE SEARCH FEATURE you'd find that there are SEVERAL tests proving that the STOCK ECU can provide the necessary fuel to support ALL THE BOLT-ONS to include a full exhaust and an intercooler and intake... But what do I know. I'm not saying go out and mod the **** out of a stock ECU car, but it CAN be done with proper boost control.
Good day. sir.

No sense in trying to tell them what they clearly already know.

I knew you would!
