open header

Yeah im going to the track on Friday..do you guys think open header will give me more? I got a RacingBeat road race header and thinking about doing some passes open header..Whats the risk..besides going deaf before im 30?

Trust me ...I know how it is...



When I worked at the dealership and put on my header..I drove about 5 miles open header scared as ****..people 5 blocks down was looking around before I was close... :rice:

I did the same on my '85, only it was for about 40 miles round trip. The only real problem, other that the obnoxious noise is that the floor board gets extremely hot, my carpet began to smolder just before I got home! I dont think a few runs down the track will hurt. As far a engine performance/damage I coundn't tell, all the noise makes your eyeballs bounce around and knocks your chicklets loose

Tellyou the truth I was scared to go over 4k..the vibration and sound was frightning..lol

Wind it out to like 6500 or 7k, preferably in a valley, or better yet a tunnel its so obnoxious, but ppl just get out of the way, and look at you like you have three heads, its great. I dont need my '85 to support myself so i dont mind beating on it once in a while, so I can appreciate your position if it differs.

im gonaa have my dad make me a side exhaust the bolts to my dp, its gonna be crazy!!!! B)

yeah that sounds tight ..to bolt up right to the exhast flange out of the side of the car...**** yeah..and get some one to stand there and shoot flames at them..muwhahaha

I cant wait to light my engine off open header with the monster street port,

that sons-a-bitch next door always fires up his god damned sand rail at 10:00pm on the weeknights, what a **** stick!. I hope my car blows his ****** windows out at like 2am... Biiiiiiitch!

I drove my TII around with an open down pipe one night and talk about loud. God Damn it's loud and the turbo sounds like a siren as it's winding down. I thought I was busted the first time I heard it.
