Anyone know anything about it?

I am having a lot of issues getting a letter signed for the costa rican gov't, i was going to put the cash in y costa rican account, but it works out that they dish it out to me on a monthly basis and don't want to withdrawel the money at all.

Anyone used something like a cayman islands bank? Swiss bank? it's nothing illegal it's just that US banks don't want to sign ANYTHING, they flat told me at b of a that they will only give a letter saying that I have an account at their bank NOTHING ELSE.

I am not worried about reportability, the deal is I have to have 60,000 in an an account which will be dished out and 1,000 a month. US based banks will not do this, they will not sign anything to that effect or really any effect.

The costa rican banks are insured, so that doesn't bother me, I just dont need the money, so every month I get 1,000 and every month have to re-deposit it LOL

Uhh, well here is the deal, to establish residency I need to have the money to live there... as far as gov't is concerned. This is done my either having a US bank agree to dish out 1,000 per month over 5 years (60,000) or having a costa rica bank dish out the 60k at 1k per month over the next 5 years........ i however do not want to use the 60k as living money, I want to use other sources of income for my expense, in 5 years throw the 60k into other investments. At this rate i will get the 1,000 then have to re-deposit it back into another bank, that equals poo.

you cant just go there with $60000 in cashiers checks or something like that?

or mail a check a month to the other bank?
