Official Hurricane Update Thread

This is the Beach in South Florida. Once the Hurricane got past to Bahamas we started to get waves. This place is called Stuart Rocks. There is a reef about 50 feet offshore then another reef about 100 feet past that and another 100 feet past that. There might be more but those are the ones I can reach with a snorkel on a flat day.
Its a dangerous break because if you fall your in the reef. I stopped surfing because this is the only place there are waves around here. I got screwed up too many times. Fire corral is my favorite!! Yay!
The red arrow is pointing at a dudes house. He looks like he will be o.k. if the hurricane came this was his house would have been toast.

Here is a surfer. There were only 4 people surfing I heard one dude say it took over 40 minutes to paddle outside the break. Your arms become rubber by then and you have to just lay there and regain your strength before trying to catch a wave.

I'm in easterly central VA right now..the "eye" of the storm is just a lil south-east of us now, we're getting 40-50ish gusts, but nothing tooo bad. And we still have power, obviously, lol..just checked on my seven a few minutes ago..still there!
