there are more headaches then parking and tolls- the traffic.

Traffic will be at a standstill, traffic like you have never seen.

It will cost you about $40 a day to park your car, they are probably taking advantage and raising the price of parking as well.

Where are you going to fly into anyhow? You cant land in Manhatten.

you realize it would take you HOURS to get into manhatten from any of those airports?

Cab would cost you a fortune if you could find one stupid enough to take you into the city to begin with. You pay as the cab sits in traffic, it would drive you crazy watching that meter spin.

i was told 1.5 hours max from linden into the city, but as little as 20-30 minutes .. all depending on traffic from someone who drives into the city on a weekly basis and used to live there.

cabs would be somewhat costly, but depending on the time of day, there are always cabs at airports (even the small airports) who are more than willing to drive you where you want.

so assuming you planned properly... you spend a total of 100 bucks to fly, 100-120+ to take a train... and about 100 to drive with parking and all that crap.

i'll fly anyday.. you get a great view, a much greater thrill, get to build flight time... plus if you are taking a total of 3-4 people(including yourself) taking the rail would run well over 300-400 bucks. driving or flying stays the same.

Can I borrow some money? Sheesh. 99% of the folks out there wouldn't even consider paying $100 just to go shopping.. **** that ****. Rob is right, this is gonna hurt the city.

The 1.5 hour estimate im sure did not allow for a transit strike?

might be fine and dandy for you out-of-towners who want to shop, but remember there are hundreds of thousands of people who work everyday in the city.

Thousands of people going to broadway shows everyday, students, etc..

i was just saying that if i were going to nyc, because of how much everything's costing, i'd rather fly, load the airplane up with 3-4 people and split it.. have a great time in the air at only 25 bucks a person... and only spend 30 minutes in transit.

sinful, i think most people would spend 25 bucks on transportation to get to nyc...

driving would just suck...

and to take a train with 3-4 people would cost an arm and a leg. and doesn't save any time.

hey rob, how far out do the subways run outside of the city? is it possible to catch one outside for a couple bucks and ride it in?

parachute !

yeah, but a taxi driver would do it.. even if the driver charged 50-100 bucks for a 20-30 minute drive, it would still save a considerable amount of money.

you also should take into account the fun factor of flying. it would be such an awesome flight
