Wow, that's pretty insane!! But that is why you have feet. WALK BITCHES!!!!

And why the **** did they strike, I see no reason to? If it is because of hard labor, craph hours, and craph pay. LOOK WHERE YOU ******* WORK!!!!!!!!

Rob x-7 12-20-2005 09:02 AM

so thier great union went on strike for a percent or so raise, now regualar people who cant afford to take off work have to strike because thier union tells them so.

Lets not forget how unfair it would be to raise the pension age from 55 to 62! GIVE ME A BREAK, stop being so ******* greedy and go back to work!!

Merry Christmas transit union workers, and Merry Christmas NYC!

Add to that how much its gonna already cost the almost-bankrupt union, and it really makes no sense. However, I miss a final cause of it too, so Im not complaining too strenuously

There is nothing like christmas in NYC, its great to go in on the train and shop, they are hurting the city for being so greedy.

They say the MTA has a one billion dollar surplus so they can afford it- god forbid they should have a surplus! Where do they think all the new equipment will come from in the future? $1,000,000,000 goes awfully fast when your buying and refurbishing new trains and the rest of the equipment.

I guess a fare hike is definitly going to happen now as well.

Sinful7 12-20-2005 10:04 AM

"fare" hike

Rob x-7 12-20-2005 10:09 AM

yeah that too

this is what i don't get...

to drive to nyc from wilmington, de (where i work) takes you 1.5 - 2 hours... total cost round trip; i dunno 20 bucks in gas and another 20 in tolls.. so total cost about 40 bucks.

to fly a small aircraft (cessna) from wilmington (KILG) airport to nyc (KJFK) or something would take you in the area of 30 minutes. the airplanes i rent are about 70 bucks an hour and are military aircraft (so no tiedown/parking fees). Total cost 70 bucks round trip, and a taxi fare to get you into the city from the airport.

to take the amtrak from wilmington to penn station is about 100-120 bucks, takes 1.5 - 2 hours...

soooo, it's cheapest to drive but you have to put up with headaches such as parking and tolls.

it's probably to most fun to fly, but it's a little more costly, and you have to deal with the class b airspace and possibly deal with atc delays being in a smaller aircraft.

the train is the most expensive, you are on someone else's schedule, but you don't have to deal with tolls and traffic.. just the occasional de-rail and train wreck.

boxrs4sale 12-20-2005 10:16 AM

i guess i'd just fly instead of deal with all that ****.
