surprised you were able to just have liability on it..

banks typically requires that you have full coverage on title with lein..

as rob indicated..home owners insurance is your secondary coverage..

if it was a personal loan then they dont require insurance, because who knows what you spent the money on.



I didnt have to have insurance on my motorcycle when I had a bank loan, but kawasaki themselves required you to have FULL insurance.

Meanwhile I couldnt get full insurance because of the bike and my age at the time.



I would check into homeowners, if you have flood that is. I am 2 houses away from requiring full flood insurance from my bank for my house, but I got full coverage anyhow.

make sure you have flood insurance, cuz my aunt's house flooded cuz of ice from last winter and they didnt have flood insurance, they were stuck with the bill. the insurance company said that they will only cover the cost if the water came in through the windows, and if it came through the door sils, then its considered flood.
