anybody have any experience with this camera..just got my mom one for her birthday..seems like a real nice camera..it came with two lenses..how is the quailty of the pictures?

I have a 2 year old model, it doesn't have two lenses and what not, but I've been very happy with the Nikon pictures are great and the battery lasts forever.

the place we got it from had a special going on with it..they gave us two lenses..and 13 things of film with it..also everytime we go to bring the film they will put it on a cd-rom disk for us for free..

i've actually got a nikon digi cam as well the nikon and cannon lenses rock.

what ranges are your lenses?thay gave us 28-100 and 100-300

I think its 35 - 100 but it might be 28 not sure. To be honest since I got the digi cam I haven't used it that much LOL in laws bought for us for christmas a couple years ago, but the digi cam is so convenient.

Nikon makes the best cameras, hands down.



I have an N55 with a Sigma 1.8f wide-angle, the standard lense (can't remember the specs..), and a Kodak 200mm lense.

Nikon makes great cameras. All professional photographers use them. I personally like Sigma and Canon old manual cameras.



I would like to get my hands on the new Kodak DCS-14n. That monster is 13 million megapixels. But that would be as much as a TII.



I would have personally got her a Nikon N80, or a Kodak digital camera. But a very nice gift indeed.

I prefer film to digital.

I like film also compared to digital. But my film cameras are older than I am. One is 25 years old, and the other is 20 years old. But they are still rocking.



I like film only if you develop it yourself. And doing color processing manually is very difficult to do. Complete darkness in the printing stages. Compared with black and white, you could have a hint of red hued light. Film is cool cause you can distort in all sort of different ways. That was about 20 years ago. Now you can do ALL of that on Adobe Photoshop.



People will say film will die, but it never will. Professional photographers will still be using slide film, medium format, large format and panoramic film and cameras for another 100 years.
