I am looking for a place to live in the next month. I don't like apartments that much, because of the lack of space, but I do like that I don't have to do yard work.



What did you all move into first time? I make decent money for being 20 years old, and my girlfriend makes enough. We would have combined wages, and I make about 6 times more than her. I don't want a house, because I simply can't afford houses in this area. 2,000+ for 2k sq. ft. home, with no yard. ***** that ****.

find a big apartment.





maybe you can find a homeowner who is willing to rent out a room to you.

 

Appartments do suck buttt they have ones **** I forgot the names there stacked so you have like three level apartment with no neighbors up or down just beside you those arn't so bad.



Try finding a guest house for rent if you have country houses there somone with a farm may want to rent out a second house, or extra living area like a garage apartment.

I moved into an apartment for a few years. Apartments are horrible for the fact you live among people you would probably rather not have living a foot on the other side of the wall. You share parking, sharing parking means your car will more than likely get beat up a little bit. Things are more apt to get stolen. Apartments tend to be smaller, but some are nice for the right money, at which point you'd have a smaller mortgage payment on a nice house with a garage and a privacy fence. I like to do projects and have tools and other **** that takes up space. No way an apartment would work for that. I enjoy parking my cars in my garage, locked safely away from people and the elements. I also enjoy cutting grass to have a nice looking yard, because thats what being a man is all about.

Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it. I just don't have the credit to afford a house on my own, and it is mighty expensive to own property in Southern Maryland believe it or not. My folks can sell there house for 450k right now. And the house is only worth 320k.



I shall give feedback on what I find out. I just don't want to live at home anymore, I get along with the folks still, they just want me to move out, and I want to move out. I will be 21 in November, and want to throw parties,etc.

 

I'm glad I live in hicksville and avoid overpriced property. So much easier this way.

Oh, believe me, you can get property down in this little place called Nanjemoy for really cheap. You are MILES away from the nearest town, and a few hundred feet away from your neighbor.

 

I rented a trailor with a attached two car garage as my first place and loved it. you could party all the time no neighbors and if you trashed everything you were out like fifty bucks. Best time of my life oh yea and apartments definatly do suk *****

 

Yeah I live in an apartment. I definitely want to own my next place.
