Here's the deal, and I need serious answers please.
I had to move out of my dorm in May, and had planned on moving in with my Grandfather for the summer. Shortly before I moved, my uncle offered to let me use his apartment, because it's in the same town as my school, and he's in Germany, so he wasn't using it. He never mentioned a price, just said I could stay there for the summer since he had to pay rent anyway. He was planning on moving out in the end of August, and I could find a new place then. He never ended up coming home in August, so me, RD, and my grandfather moved all of his stuff into my new apartment, in the same building. He came back in September and was telling me that he was going to charge me for the time I lived in his apartment. The thing is, if he had mentioned it before I moved in, I wouldn't have moved there. What would you do?

well he should have said that before you moved in. i think is fair if you paid something though, you did live there. but again he should have said something and in the absence of a contract or something you are not on the hook for anything

first off your uncle is a jackass, second that's not fair of him to ask you to pay if he didn't say anything first... i'd tell him to **** himself and that you moving his **** was all the payment he should expect

He's asking for $100/month plus all of the utilities. It's a fair amount, assuming we agreed there would be a payment, but I don't like the idea that he thinks he can give me a "bill" a few months later. He also agreed to give me $150/month on the apartment I have now to store his stuff and keep his car in my garage, but I haven't seen any of that, because I was paying him back for the security deposit, which is still in his name with the landlord.

I never thought we'd see eye to eye on anything.
