my computer is running super duper duper slow. so i ran norton and also ad-aware. neither of them found anything, and once they were done the comp was doing just fine. So then a couple hours later it starts running super slow again, and it showed that there was somethign in the recycle bin, and when you open it, its empty, so when you click empty recycle bin a window pops up and says "Are you sure you want to uninstall windows?" so does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

My comp specs:

Dell Dimension XPS

3.2ghz P4

2gb RAM

120gb HD in RAID 0

DVD/CD-r Combo drive

Creative Audigy 2 5.1 surround sound card

128mb Radeon 9800

256mb DSL (crappy ****)

I didn't notice a slowdown, i just hate things being in my Recycle Bin,

I also use norton (Norton Systemworks 2K3) so I'm not sure if it may

have sumthing to do with Norton, but I had also just installed all of the

new security and driver updates from Micro$haft....

Cool

Hrm.....hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and look at your processes and see what's eating up clock cycles, that's the easiest way to find out, unless it's a mean hidden nasty type thing, if that's the case, and you've already tried Spybot and Norton, maybe try AdAware..if not, damn, i dunno, sumthing's gotta be running in the background OR maybe check your fans and make sure the fan on the processor is firmly attached to the heat sink and the

heat sink is firmly attached to the processor, other than that....
