Ok, i've been searching for about 30 minutes and its really starting to **** me off, but i remember a big long thread discussing types of oil to use in an rx-7 adn which ones were best, and a lot of it discussed synthetics and if it was safe to use. If anyone has a link to this thread or remembers where it was/is i'd be much obliged. thanks.

 

I remember seeing a thread like that. It went pretty much like:

"I use only regular oil because synthetics don't burn properly."

"I use only regular oil because I change it every 2500 miles and it's less expensive."

"I use synthetic blends and they work great!"

"I use synthetic oil and everything is great!"

"I use synthetic, but I premix with 2 stroke."

"I use synthetic, but I premix with synthetic 2 stroke."



My point is, when synths first came out, the rotary motor had problems because

synths didn't burn properly and screwed up the apex seals.



The newer blends burn better, but some still play it safe and premix(add oil to

tank of gasoline).
