I just gotta say how good the new descendents EP, 'merican, is. SO GOOD!!!
I thought they were still doing the ALL thing.
I'll pick it up thanks.
Silent Revolution (IM me for their MP3's-KyrmseGalore)-they are a new band made from some of the members of my old band, Void Where Prohibited. They are much better now that I am not with them, and they are a nice fusion of jazz, rock, and some other stuff.
Hot Water Music-Good old school punk
Bad Religion-The thinking man's punk, big in the 80's and early 90's. They kinda faded away a few years ago, but damn are they awesome.
Lawrence Arms-Emoish punk, maybe...Good stuff, many people don't know of them.
Bigwig-More hardcore punk, not real mainstream, but awesome nonetheless.

Okay, here's my five...
Save Ferris - The older stuff by this band is ******* amazing...full blown ska-punk with a chick as a lead singer...doesn't get much better than that!
No Use For A Name - They've been around forever and are STILL totally under-rated...even at shows like Warped Tour they've always been on second or third stages...while bands like Good Charlotte will take the first with their pathetic poseur-punk sound.
Finding Westerly - Completely local band from NJ...******* amazing...best song by them is "Farewell"...I can really see them going big if the right person finds them.
Boys Night Out - Emo-core band that not many have heard of...like a mix of Hatebreed and The Get Up Kids...
The Get Up Kids - If any band has EVER been under-rated it's been these guys...been around forever and people still say "huh?" when you say their name.
OVERRATED BANDS: Good Charlotte, The Darkness, Blink182, Beastie Boys, and Simple Plan.

let the stereotypes fly, but this is good music, even my friends that hate country and only listen to classic rock / modern rock like this stuff:
1. pat green - every song is good, although he is turning to mainstream country (barf)
2. robert earl keen - every song is good, he's got a good style that never gets old
3. roger creager - true to texas
4. kevin fowler
5. cross canadian ragweed
