My obscure faves...
Stabbing Westward (Wither, Blister, Burn + Peel and Darkest Days) The other CDs are not so gouda unless you are a big time fan. This is dark, moody and angry music. Cleaner than Rezner and NIN but still has industrial tones.
Cold (Thirteen Ways to Bleed Onstage and Year of the Spider) if you like a little a dark music with your profanity. They get airtime on their worst songs so don't judge them by the radio.
Oyster Head (Grand Pecking Order) if you like Primus and that raunchy bass style this CD has 3 good songs on it IMO.
CKY (Camp Kill Yourself) There were two brothers, Bam and Jess Margera. One a film student and one a drummer. They started a band and a few movies called CKY. Bam Margera was picked up by MTV to do Jackass w/Johnny Knoxville. The band CKY sort of took off but not really.
Seven Mary Three (American Standard, Rockcrown and Orange Avenue) the other CD sux cause they have a different vocalist.

Social Burn is a local band here. They have some real good stuff, in my opinion. But I have no idea how popular they are in other parts of the country, so you might want to check them out.
They rock!
