i can't send mail from outlook any more. i think it is the outgoing mail server but i don't know i just keep getting this mail undeliverable massage when i try to send something.

does anyone know of an smtp server that i can use? or something i could do to fix this.

but i recieve mail through bama.ua.edu when i first tried outlook it woudnt work so a friend told me to use the aforementioned address.

 

it depends on what isp you have some won't let ou send off any mail server but theres. It may also be that current smtp server you are using is no longer allowing relaying... most don't allow relaying, it just attracts spammers. Depending on your ISP I would try sending off their mailserver.

 

comcast is my isp. i think when they merged with at&t they changed some stuff up.

 

that would prolly be the issue, I would log on to whatever website they have now and find out what their current mail servers are. Are you on attbi or just dial up?

ATT's mail servers are mail.attbi.com at least in this state, so I would check out their website or try that for your outgoing.

 

i went there and checked out the site i tried the mail.attbi.com server but i keep getting a connection interupeted message. sometimes the internet makes me angry
