are starting to **** me off!!!!
Live Free or Die Hard seems to have busted my sub.
After several months of adjusting the levels using other movies and music, I throw in this one and the bass is so boosted the driver and passive radiator are bottoming out. and now the driver is broken, the spider separated from the pole piece.
It seems every damn movie I watch has different recording levels in the low frequencies. Transformers, The Hulk, Bangkok Dangerous all sound awesome, but Live Free or Die Hard seems to be using 20-25hz for every gunshot and explosion. the final Rambo sounds flat and boring, which was really dissapointing after hearing how well recorded it was for the theatre.
I've also noticed they get really lazy too. Each movie seems to have 1 scene where they really boost the levels, but other scenes of very similar action sounds entirely different, without nearly the emphasis on the sound.

Just replace the driver with one of the same size and approximate specs. You'll be good to go!
