What makes the BGE so special, the fact that it's ceramic?

We've cooked pizzas on a well-seasoned pizza stone in the grill, it was tasty.

Man, back in the bachelor days, I BBQ'd pizza about 4 weeks a night... That's gonna catch up to me when I am 50, I know..
