well, he is the only one with an extensive history of racing cars as well as automotive journalism. he decided to be a freelance reporter instead of being tied down to some 'lowly' magazine.

I imagine no AWD was to make it different from the MS6 and the S40 AWD T5. They could have done it easily if they wanted.

Ultimately, AWD is going to make the car slower, since it adds weight. You might get off the line a little quicker with AWD, but once the threat of wheelspin is gone, you're just toting dead weight and increasing friction losses. Unless we're talking about a rally car, and we aren't.
