It's an Exige. The hard top version of the Elise.

What's the top speed on the vette? as compated to the much smaller/more nimble Elise? It seems that the Elise could only obtain a top mph of around 130 or so, while the vette i'm sure could get closer to 185ish?

The Elise did a GREAT job keeping up. if the whole track were turns with short straits the Lotus would have taken it.

wow... that was some driving.

I never realized Numbering was that long of a track.

That elise looked pretty decked out for race gear, stack guage and big wing. the corvette looked pretty stock. Then again that is all i could see so it is hard to say.
Numbering? Must be a track in Canada....

How could you tell the vette was stock from looking at the tail lights. All I could see was that the vette had a custon red stripe painted on it. I guess that's a power adder.

The Elise was impressive in the turns, the vettte (or its driver) was not able to shake him until the final straight away. I thought the Elise had an impressive run. I really want to ship my car over there and hang out on the track for a couple of weeks.

I think you need to read the comparison they did with a Z06 vette versus

alot of other cars.

Vettes handle fine when you get people that know how to drive one.

Now I have to find that damm article!

I was being sarcastic... I know where Nuerburgring is and how it's spelled.

The old track is a 22 Km lap!

In 1997 15 Marks got you one lap of the old track in your own car.

I did 5, unfortunately the car was a rented VW Polo Managed to keep it flat most of the time, got buzzed by all kinds of exotic gear!

I have an in car mpg of Armin Hahne in a N500 Skyline on a hot lap of the old circuit........awesome

Lotus is a road registerable race car, and does v. well but you can't compare 1.8 litres to what? 6 litres? even in a bigger car
