I've heard they will wrinkle, actually. They're also very lightweight.
They are not for street duty, two grooves around the diameter just like the R-coumpounds.

I figure I'll just have 'em on to drive to and from the strip. It's not like we go if it's going to rain anyways. Sounds like they'll be fun at the strip.

Exactly the opposite actually, wrinkle wall tires cushion the launch, allowing the shock to be spread out and therefore lower.
Yeah, I figure anything is better than wheel hop, which is what I tend to get on street tires.
