If nothing else, this whole "bailout" thing should open our eyes to the fact that the federal gov't in Washington is a renegade unit acting in its own best interests. The fact that they can (probably) ram this very unpopular package down our throats despite massive howls of protest from their constituents is surely proof of that.

Come November, if you're not voting for a candidate who wholeheartedly espouses the notion of "smaller government", then you sir, are voting for the wrong man, or woman.

There was speculations that at my work (printing industry) it was supposed to be a slow slow year. Yet, I've worked so much OT the past few months. Hell, I'm even being called in for tonight- which is unusual (Saturday nights and Sunday days are the "slow days" of the week).

The printing industry is *** backwards though, at least here, they get busier as the economy worsens, as more stores resort to printed advertising. One of my biggest customers is a web printer, they are gearing up for the slow down.

Is that the same as gearing down for a slow up?

The main attraction, distraction

got ya number than number than numb

Empty ya pockets son, they got you thinkin that

What ya need is what they sellin

Make you think that buyin is rebellin'

From the theaters to malls on every shore

The thin line between entertainment and war

The frontline is everywhere, there be no shelter here

Spielberg the nightmare works so push it far

Amistad was a whip, the truth feather to tar

Memories erased and burned to scar

Trade in ya history for a VCR

Cinema, simulated life, ill drama

Fourth reich culture, Americana

Chained to the dream they got ya searchin for

The thin line between entertainment and war

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

Hospitals not profit full

The market bull's got pockets full

To advertise some hip disguise

View the world from American eyes

Tha poor adore keep feeding for more

Tha thin line between entertainment and war

fix the need, develop the taste

Buy their products or get laid to waste

Coca-Cola was back in our veins in Saigon

And Rambo too, we got a dope pair of Nikes on

Godzilla pure **********in' filler

Get your eyes off the real killer

Cinema, simulated life, ill drama

Fourth reich culture, Americana

Chained to the dream they got you searchin for

Tha thin line between entertainment and war

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

There'll be no shelter here!

The frontline is everywhere

American eyes, American eyes

View the world from American eyes

Bury the past, rob us blind

And leave nothin behind

American eyes, American eyes

View the world from American eyes

Bury the past, rob us blind

And leave nothin behind

Just stare!

Just stare!

Just stare!

Just stare!

and live the nightmare!

Weapons not food, not homes, not shoes

Not need, just feed the war cannibal animal

I walk tha corner to tha rubble that used to be a library

Line up to tha mind cemetary now

What we don't know keeps tha contracts alive an movin'

They don't gotta burn tha books they just remove 'em

While arms warehouses fill as quick as tha cells

Rally round tha family, pockets full of shells

Is anyone here familiar with the movie/documentary The Corporation?

I saw it in theaters and bought it, was actually surprised the gov't would let such a movie be shown. Not sayin the corporation is THE root of all evil, but its more to blame for all this than Iraq, Afghanistan and just about any other excuse you can think of.
