Samba is really, really simple and if you want to make it even simpler just download webmin, you can configure samba from there in about 2 minutes. That's how I drop files on nopistons.net

if you want to load it where most people wouldn't know, you could install LILO (LInux LOader) onto a floppy and leave the Master Boot Record (MBR)alone... that way it looks the same to everyone else when it boots up... but you pop that floppy in and bootup... and you can boot to Linux

haven't tried loading GRUB onto a floppy...

I used to have to do that anywhere cause LILO was so limited as to the boot partition sizes.

Wow, I am pretty happy with RH 8.0 one of my biggest complaints was not Handspring sync, now they have it! and I was never totally happy with any of the email clients, however the new one is great!

ug, mandrake, havn't messed with that too much, I have the cds floating around here somewhere though, I use Redhat myself, for some reason I have been in windows for the past few days, and I can't switch right now because I am downloading a couple movies. and BTW phinsup, you are insane, Redhat 8.0 is bad, dropping all kinds of support, no mp3's, no hardware accelleration, what is the point of having a desktop computer without those things?
