Just saw a link to 7 cool cities and what rent cost. Denver was on the list and this is what it had to say:

What you'll pay: $700-$800 a month for a one-bedroom, $900-$1,200 for a two-bedroom; under the housing program, $800 for a one-bedroom loft

Thats a bit skewed I think. We were paying $750 for a two bedroom, two bath in a brand new complex in Thorton (part of the Denver metro area).

I know you can find decent places for $300-$400.

Before I spent $1000 a month on rent, I'd damn sure find a way to buy a house. Of course, if you're just moving into the area, it makes sense to rent for a year while you check out the place. You don't want to move to a neighborhood where scantily-clad gigolos lie about in provocative poses.

Arlington is pretty nice. You have DC not too far away, B-more is about 2 hours away, great living but expensive, culture is not bad, weather is hot in summer, nice in fall, mildly cold in winter, and beautiful in the spring.

Traffic is a bitch though, plenty of things to do. I am not so sure about GMU though, never been there. I have lived in the "area" for about 11 years now, and I honestly like it here, I would never move if I needed to, only thing I hate is the ******* traffic.

Good luck.

Don't tell him to move to No. VA! There's too many people there already! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

Seriously though, it's a pretty strong job market, but the traffic is beyond terrible.

I think something worth considering is how often you want to take the BAR in relation to where you want to work, as well as which schools offer you the best education in accordance to what you want to practice.
